ABOUT THE BOOK

This book addresses the difficult “Why God?” questions that accompany the loss of a child or loved one from the honest, rational, and spiritual perspective of a Christian Father who lost his 20-year-old son.

Non-Christians and Christians alike, can’t be faulted for wondering, where is God in all of this and how could he allow such a terrible thing to happen?  This frustration often leads to the logical follow-up question, ‘If God didn’t intervene now in my greatest time of need, was He really ever present in my life or did I get this all wrong?’  After my son Jared died, I started down the path of questions that I like to call ‘mental gymnastics’.  My thoughts became so knotted-up about God’s role in my circumstances that I had to say, ‘God I’m not going to let myself lose faith in you, but what am I supposed to think now.
